Guardians

"Guardians" was originally started as an exercise to make a curved seam. However, at the time, my mother was in the last months of her life, and that theme took over. I Photoshoped a series of  images of her with her facial expression fading away that appear in the lower black line. The central figure is an attempt to capture my flurried and powerless attempts to help keep her happy and alive, while the guardian dogs watch with their native wisdom. This is in Visions Art Museum's online exhibit, "Under A Spell," 2016.
