Seaside 1
When I was a little girl, we spent part of each summer near the beach at Seaside, Oregon. My mother loved the tide pools, so we spent hours watching the oddly beautiful creatures. She taught us their names and about their lives. My family developed a special closeness during these trips that I will always remember.
I had so much fun making this piece that it became 7 feet long. When I learned the exhibit I wanted to enter only allowed 44 inch pieces, there was a Seaside 2!
